At Old City Kids, we believe that education is the key to unlocking human potential. We strive to create a safe, nurturing, play-based learning environment where children develop confidence, life skills, and a love for learning.
Anna Hyde is a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, where she lives with her husband of 18 years, Randy, and their two children, Lucia and Brody. A passionate educator, creative leader, and community builder, Anna brings a unique blend of professional experience, artistic talent, and dedication to family-centered learning through her work with Old City Kids.
Anna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with aspirations of becoming a news broadcaster and went on to host the television program In Tune with Jacksonville on The CW. She also holds a Facial Specialty Certificate and owns and operates her esthetics and makeup business, All Made Up, where she has helped clients feel confident and beautiful for many years.
Before dedicating herself fully to homeschooling and community education, Anna spent seven years with Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, where she trained and facilitated adults on banking systems and operations. After the birth of her daughter Lucia, Anna followed her passion for early childhood education by teaching at Gymboree Play & Music.
For the past seven years, Anna has devoted herself to homeschooling her children and supporting other homeschool families throughout the community. She served as a tutor for two years with Classical Conversations before co-creating and co-directing Old City Kids, a homeschool co-op focused on enriching educational experiences, creativity, and connection for local families.
A lifelong performer and creative spirit, Anna enjoys singing, dancing, acting, and actively participating alongside her children in a wide variety of activities. She has served as costume director and backstage manager for North Florida’s homeschool theater productions, including Alice in Wonderland and Robin Hood. Her family also enjoys training together at Grand Master Nunez's Taekwondo, where Anna currently holds a red stripe belt.
When she is not teaching, organizing events, or supporting homeschool families, Anna treasures spending time with her family and encouraging her children’s many interests — from volleyball and piano to guitar, golf, fishing, and the arts. Through Old City Kids, Anna’s mission is to create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive community where children and families can learn, grow, and thrive together.
